Abstract
Effect of organic matter applications on the tuber yield of potato in the greenhouse was conducted. The rice straw application at 1 ton per 10 a showed higher plant height and branch number of potato as compared with the chemical fertilizer application, resulting in about 18% increase of the total yield. Hardness and bulk density of the soil decreased more by rice straw application at 1 ton per 10 a than the chemical fertilizer application and the other organic matter treatments. These suggest that potato cultivation with only rice straw without chemical fertilizer should be feasible in the greenhouse.
